The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Thursday that the club has signed free agent LS Thomas Gafford.
Gafford (6-2, 235) played in nine games for Kansas City in 2008 after joining the club on October 29th. He has also spent time with Chicago (2008), Green Bay (2006, 2008) and Seattle (2007) prior to joining the Chiefs. He originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with Green Bay in 2006.
The Webster, Texas native played in 47 games as a long snapper at the University of Houston. Gafford played wide receiver, quarterback, tight end and safety as a prep standout at Clear Brook High School in Friendswood, Texas.
The Chiefs waived LS Tanner Purdum on Thursday.
