Another Chief set to be revealed on NFL Network’s The Top 100 Players of 2012

Kansas City’s defense to be represented once again in Wednesday night’s episode

Pro Bowl linebacker Derrick Johnson was the first Chiefs player to crack the NFL’s Top 100 Players of 2012 List. He came in at No. 78 during the May 9th episode of the NFL Network’s ongoing series.

Tonight, another Chief will join the list.

Players rated Nos. 31 – 40 will be revealed during the June 6th episode airing at 7:00 PM (CST) on NFL Network and producers of the show have provided a few hints as to who that player might be.

This is what we know…

1) The player plays on defense

2) The player was a member of last year’s Top 100 list

That leaves the Chiefs with two possibilities: Tamba Hali or Eric Berry.

Kansas City placed five players on last year’s inaugural Top 100 list – Berry (No. 93), Brian Waters (No. 67), Hali (No. 64), Dwayne Bowe (No. 45) and Jamaal Charles (No. 33). So far, none of the five have been included on this year’s list.

Considering Berry just barely cracked last year’s list and missed most 2011 with a knee injury, tonight’s player is likely to be Hali. If it is indeed Hali, he’ll be making quite a jump in the eyes of his peers.

The Top 100 list is voted on by NFL players and a reaction show is set to follow tonight’s episode.

On, fans can vote on each player ranking and whether it should be higher or lower.  Viewers can also pose questions for NFL Network analysts and player guests by tweeting their questions to @nflnetwork. An on-air social media crawl will display selected questions and the analysts will answer questions in every episode.

Additionally, fans can discuss and debate the players revealed during each episode using the hashtag #NFLTop100.
