Reserve your seat!

The Kansas City Chiefs announced today that bus service for 2010 home Chiefs games will be expanded from 2009 – tripling the number of pick up locations from 4 to 12, and lowering prices for season passes, advance reservations and walk-up options. Kincaid Coach will partner with the Chiefs to offer the expanded service. Limited bus service in 2009 was launched after the Kansas City ATA and Johnson County (KS) Transit discontinued public bus service to Chiefs games after the 2008 season.

Hundreds of Chiefs ticket holders utilized the bus service for each 2009 home game to get to and from Arrowhead Stadium, demonstrating the demand for added locations. Ticket holders are encouraged to reserve a bus ticket in advance to guarantee transportation.

“After launching this program last season, we began looking for the opportunity to expand the service to more fans across a larger geographic area,” said Mark Donovan, Chiefs COO. “We’d like to thank Kincaid Coach for allowing us to provide the service at a reduced cost to our fans and Hy-Vee and the other partners who helped us expand the number of pick-up and drop-off locations.

For all remaining home games, including Thursday night’s game vs. the Packers, busses will pick-up and drop-off at Ameristar Casino, Metro North, Rosanna Square, White Oak Plaza, Brookside, Westport and at designated Hy-Vee stores in Gladstone, Independence, Olathe, Overland Park and Prairie Village. Fans will receive a discount when making reservations online for the season or by game. The location to be dropped and picked up at Arrowhead is on the northeast corner of Lot M (by Kauffman Stadium) and the busses will leave approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the game.

Important details of the service:

Fans may make reservations online at, or by calling (913) 441-6200 between the hours of 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday-Friday.

Payment must be made at the time of the reservation.

Ticket holders will be transported on school busses.

Tickets must be purchased “in advance” for $15.00 per game or $115 for a nine game or $105 for an eight game season pass to Chiefs home games.

A walk-up bus ticket is $18 in cash only and only if seats are available. Fans without advanced reservations can’t be guaranteed a seat.

This is not a shuttle and if you miss the bus another will not return.

Current locations for pick-up and drop-off are as listed below, but are subject to change. The most updated locations can be found at, along with other details. Pick-up times are approximately two hours before kick-off. Specific times are listed next to each location on the website.
