The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Tuesday that the club has signed rookie free agent LB Cory Greenwood.
Greenwood (6-2, 235) played four seasons at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, where he was a three-time All-Star in the Quebec University Football League. He was selected by the Toronto Argonauts with the third overall selection in the 2010 CFL Canadian Draft.
Greenwood finished his collegiate career with 186.5 tackles, leading his league with 62 tackles (52 solo) as a senior. He also added 5.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks and one forced fumble during his final campaign at Concordia to win the President’s Trophy as the best defensive player in Canadian Interuniversity Sport. Greenwood prepped at Regiopolis-Notre Dame Catholic High School in Kingston, Ontario.
