4-0 at Arrowhead: The Chiefs have won their first four games at Arrowhead for the first time since 2003 and for the seventh time since the facility opened in ’72. The Chiefs are the seventh team in NFL history to rebound from a 0-4 start at home the previous season to register a 4-0 mark the following year. The club’s four-game home winning streak is the club’s longest since winning five straight at Arrowhead from 10/1/06 – 11/23/06.


Three Straight 200-Yard Games: The Chiefs have registered three straight games with 200 or more rushing yards for the first time since accomplishing the feat in the first three games of the ’78 season. KC has produced 738 rushing yards in its last three games. The Chiefs have produced an individual 100-yard rusher in each of those games. The Chiefs have registered four 200-yard rushing games this season, the club’s best total since having four in 2002. The Chiefs 274 rushing yards were the club’s highest single-game total since posting 317 at Denver (1/3/10). KC’s 45 rushing attempts were the club’s most since posting 53 vs. Seattle (10/29/06).

Scoring Defense: The Chiefs have won 45 consecutive games at Arrowhead when holding opponents to 10 points or less. The Chiefs have held all four of their home opponents to 20 points or less in 2010, permitting 13.5 ppg at home this season. KC pitched a first-half shutout for the first time since doing it in a 14-6 win at Washington (10/18/09). The Chiefs held an opponent scoreless in the first quarter for the fourth time this season and the 10th time under Head Coach Todd Haley.

Turnover Stats: Kansas City has been even or positive in eight consecutive games, the club’s longest stretch since doing it nine straight games from 10/12/2003 – 12/14/2003. S Eric Berry has recorded interceptions in back-to-back games.

Close Calls: The Chiefs are 3-1 in games decided by seven points or less this season. KC is now 12-16-2 all-time in regular season overtime games, including two straight wins. The Chiefs last won an OT decision by a 27-24 margin vs. Pittsburgh (11/22/09).

Total Plays: KC’s 74 total plays were the club’s most since posting 74 vs. Dallas (10/11/09). Buffalo’s 84 total plays were the most by a Chiefs opponent since KC defended 84 plays vs. Denver (12/4/94).

Jones Hits the 500-Yard Mark With a Fifth Team: RB Thomas Jones become the first player in NFL history to register a 500-yard rushing season with five different franchises. He had 511 yards with Arizona (2002) and 627 yards with Tampa Bay (2003) before enjoying three straight 900-yard campaigns with Chicago (2004-06) and three consecutive 1,100-yard seasons with the N.Y. Jets (2007-09) before topping the 500-yard mark with Kanas City. RBs Terry Allen and Antowain Smith each posted 500-yard seasons with four different clubs.

Bowe Stats: WR Dwayne Bowe has caught at least one TD in three consecutive games and owns five TDs in his last three games. Bowe has six TD catches on the season and 22 for his career. Bowe has caught at least one pass in 42 consecutive games. He has 12 receptions for 205 yards with five TDs over this last three games stats.

Charles in Charge: RB Jamaal Charles produced his first 100-yard rushing game of the season and the seventh of his career with 177 yards, the second-highest output of his career. He had a season-long 31-yard reception in the second quarter.

Cassel’s Streak: QB Matt Cassel has thrown 119 consecutive passes without an interception.

Sack Stats: LB Tamba Hali had 1.5 sacks in the game. He now has 7.0 on the season and 34.0 for his career. LB Andy Studebacker has 1.5 sacks on the season, 1.5 for his career. DE Wallace Gilberry registered a sack and strip, registering his first career forced fumble. He has 3.0 sacks on the season and 7.5 for his career.

Forced Fumbles: S Kendrick Lewis forced his first career forced fumble. CB Brandon Flowers forced his first fumble of the season, giving him four for his career.

Starting Stats: G Jon Asamoah made his first NFL start in place of an injured G Ryan Lilja. DE Wallace Gilberry and CB Javier Arenas also made their initial NFL starts.
