Cassel’s Day, Part I: QB Matt Cassel established career highs in completions (33), attempts (53) and passing yards (469). It marked Cassel’s second career 400-yard game and the first by a member of the Chiefs since QB Trent Green had 400 yards at Green Bay (10/12/03). His 469 passing yards were the second-highest single-game total in team history behind a 504-yard performance by QB Elvis Grbac at Oakland (11/5/00).


Cassel’s Day, Part II: It was Cassel’s first 300-yard game of the season and the fifth of his career. He tied a career high with the second four-TD game of his career. He finished the contest with a 116.0 ranking, his second 100.0-rating game (min. 20 attempts) of the season and the seventh of his career. Cassel’s 53 attempts without an INT were a Chiefs single-game record, surpassing the previous mark of 47 by QB Trent Green at Denver (12/7/03). Cassel has 16 TD passes on the season and 55 for his career.

Bowe’s Day, Part I: WR Dwayne Bowe posted a TD catch in his fifth consecutive game, tying E Chris Burford and WR Otis Taylor for the longest streak in franchise history. Bowe set career highs with 13 catches for 186 yards, surpassing his previous career marks of 10 receptions at Cincinnati (12/28/08) and 164 yards at San Diego (9/30/07). His 13 receptions were the second-highest single-game total in franchise history, trailing a 14-catch performance by TE Tony Gonzalez at San Diego (1/2/05).

Bowe’s Day, Part II: Bowe tied a career high with the fourth two-TD game of his career. Bowe now has a career-high nine TDs on the season and 25 for his career. It was his second 100-yard game of the season and the seventh of his career. Bowe has caught a pass in 44 consecutive games. Bowe now has 3,212 career receiving yards, moving into ninth in Chiefs history ahead of TE Fred Arbanas (3,101).

Charles’ Day: RB Jamaal Charles caught a five-yard TD pass, his first TD reception of the season and the third of his career.

Berry’s Return: S Eric Berry registered an 87-yard return of a missed FG attempt, setting up a K Ryan Succop FG.

Succop’s Day: K Ryan Succop made a 40-yard FG and missed a 52-yard attempt. He is now 38 of 45 (84.4%) as a member of the Chiefs.

Colquitt Brothers: Kansas City P Dustin Colquitt and Denver P Britton Colquitt became the first known pair of brothers to punt against each other in the same game in NFL history.
