Chiefs Scratch Two Players

Maurice Leggett and Darryl Harris will not dress against Philadelphia

The Chiefs have announced two pre-game inactives for tonight’s game against Philadelphia. For Kansas City, neither CB Maurice Leggett nor G Darryl Harris will dress.

Leggett suffered a head/neck injury last weekend against Tampa Bay and left the game on a stretcher. He re-joined his teammates on Wednesday, but did not practice. The Chiefs are hopeful that Leggett will return to action “sooner, rather than later.”

Harris was injured (leg) during the first week of training camp practices in St. Joseph. He has not practiced with the team since Thursday, August 5th.

Ryan O’Callaghan, the Chiefs projected starter at right tackle, left practice on Tuesday morning with a leg injury as well. He hasn’t practiced since suffering that injury, but has not been ruled out for this evening’s game. Keep an eye on the right side of the Chiefs line tonight. If O’Callaghan cannot go, Barry Richardson will be the likely starter.

For Philadelphia, six players are being held out of action tonight. They are: CB David Pender, G/C Nick Cole, C Jamaal Jackson, DE Juqua Parker, TE Cornelius Ingram and DE Victory Abiamiri. Each of the six scratches is listed as a reserve on Philadelphia’s most recent depth chart.
