The Kansas City Chiefs announced today that the club has signed veteran tight end Anthony Fasano.
Fasano has played 108 games (87 starts) in seven NFL seasons with the Miami Dolphins (2008-12) and Dallas Cowboys (2006-07).
His career numbers include 205 receptions for 2,373 yards, with 24 touchdowns. He has seen action in three playoff contests, including two starts.
One of Fasano’s best statistical seasons came in 2008 with Miami, where he recorded 34 catches for 454 yards and seven TDs.
The Verona, New Jersey native originally entered the NFL as a second-round draft choice (53rd overall) of the Cowboys in the 2006 NFL Draft.
He played three years at Notre Dame (2003-05), totaling 92 receptions for 1,112 yards and eight touchdowns. He prepped at Verona High School in Verona, NJ, where he played linebacker and tight end.
