Day 7 of 32
Bjoern Werner is on his way to the NFL, by way of Germany, Connecticut, as well as Florida State University.
Born and raised in Berlin, Germany, he moved to the United States as an exchange student and played two years of high school football in Connecticut. He later returned home to play for the Berlin Adler national team but eventually, Florida State Seminoles head coach Jimbo Fisher's staff won Werner over and he began chasing QBs and RBs at a dizzying pace in 2010.
During the 2012 season in Tallahassee, Werner ranked third in total sacks (13.0) in the NCAA and first in the ACC, ranked 14th in the NCAA in sacks per game and led the nation in yards accumulated on tackles behind the line of scrimmage (134).
Werner amassed 35 TFL, 23.5 sacks, 18 passes defended, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries during his three-year campaign in Tallahassee. Peter Boulware is the only player in FSU history to record more sacks (34) in their first three seasons than Werner.
Married in 2010, Werner also showcased the time and work he put in at Florida State during the 2013 NFL Scouting Combine.
40-yard dash (4.83)
225-lb Bench Press (25 reps)
Vertical Jump (31.0 inches)
Broad Jump (111.0 inches)

"While Werner shows flashes of good play against the run, his effort can get somewhat lackadaisical," according to Bleacher Report's contributing writer Eric Stoner.
"He also struggles setting the edge when teams run right at him, and he has a tendency to run and dance around blocks at the point of attack."
