Charles went down in the third quarter of Sunday’s game against the Bears

After Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles left Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears with a non-contact knee injury in the third quarter, preliminary tests were that Charles had suffered a torn ACL.

On Monday, the MRI confirmed that Charles does have a torn ACL in his right knee.

Charles is in his eighth year with the Chiefs and became the franchise’s all-time leading rusher last season.

He currently has 7,220 yards rushing in his career and ranks No. 1 in NFL history with a 5.48 yards per carry average.
