Posted Oct 9, 2017

A look at the playtime percentages for the Chiefs against the Texans

Offensive Notes

Tight end Demetrius Harris played a season-high 71 percent (55) of Kansas City’s offensive snaps on Sunday night. The fourth-year tight end hauled in three catches for 21 yards. Harris also played a team-high 26 snaps on special teams.

Offensive tackle Cameron Erving, who was tasked at filling in at right guard on Sunday night, played all 77 offensive snaps.

Running back Kareem Hunt played 55 snaps (71 percent) on offense, rushing for 107 yards on 29 carries. The rookie tailback’s efforts made him one of just two players to ever record 100-plus yards in each of their first five career games, joining Adrian Peterson.

Defensive Notes

Safety Ron Parker played all 64 defensive snaps, tallying a team-leading eight tackles (5.0 solo). Parker has played every defensive snap this season – the only Chiefs’ player to do so.

Cornerback Marcus Peters played every defensive snap, recording two tackles.

Safety Daniel Sorensen played all but one snap on defense (63), notching six tackles (4.0 solo), half a sack, a quarterback hurry and a pass defensed. Sorensen has missed just three snaps on defense since Week 2.

Linebacker Justin Houston recorded 52 defense snaps (81 percent), collecting three tackles (2 solo) and 1.5 sacks.
