Sunday Night Football Returns to Arrowhead Stadium

Posted Dec 23, 2016

Primetime football is returning to Arrowhead Stadium this week as the Kansas City Chiefs host the Denver Broncos in an AFC West showdown on NBC’s Sunday Night Football. It marks the club’s first home Sunday Night Football game since the Chiefs hosted the Broncos on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014. The team, Chiefs fans and the entire city will be put in the national spotlight as the game will be broadcast on NBC. Below is important information to assist fans as they plan for Sunday’s game.

PARKING, STADIUM GATES AND CLEAR BAG POLICY

Parking lots for Sunday night’s contest will open at 3 p.m. Arrowhead Stadium gates will open to all ticket holders at 6 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. kickoff. For guests with tickets on the Scout Investments Club Level, stadium gates will open at 5 p.m. The NFL’s clear bag policy is in place for all Chiefs games. Fans can visit www.nfl.com/allclear or www.chiefs.com/arrowhead/clearbagpolicy.html for important information on the clear bag policy and a complete list of permitted and prohibited items.

SEASON TICKET MEMBER HOLIDAY TAILGATE

Season Ticket Members were invited to redeem Chiefs Kingdom Rewards points for an exclusive tailgate prior to Sunday’s matchup. A live DJ, covered tents, coffee, hot chocolate and desserts will all be provided. The tailgate will feature guest appearances from Chiefs Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt, team President Mark Donovan, KC Wolf and Chiefs Cheerleaders.

FORD FAN EXPERIENCE

The Ford Fan Experience, located on the Founder’s Plaza on the north side of Arrowhead Stadium, will open at 4 p.m. The area will feature social media stations, a DJ, face-painting and Chiefs-themed tailgate games.

NATIONAL ANTHEM & HALFTIME PRESENTATION

Chiefs fans will once again have a prominent role in the primetime gameday atmosphere for Sunday Night Football. In what has become an Arrowhead Stadium national primetime game tradition, all fans will be asked to join in the singing of the national anthem. This game’s national anthem will be led by Kansas City native jazz saxophonist Houston Smith.

At halftime, members of the Kansas City Symphony Chorus will perform Christmas carols. The chorus is recognized for its long tradition of excellence serving as “the choral voice of the Kansas City Symphony.” The Symphony Chorus has been offering quality choral music to the greater Kansas City metropolitan area since the early 1960s.

HUNT FAMILY FOUNDATION 50/50 RAFFLE PRIMETIME SPECIAL

A new tradition beginning this season, the Hunt Family Foundation 50/50 Raffle features a special offer for fans purchasing raffle tickets during any of the club’s primetime contests.
