Chiefs Announce 2012 Rock The Mic Sideline Contest Winner

One of the five Rock The Mic Contest finalists will join the Chiefs preseason broadcast team August 30th at Lambeau Field

The votes are in, the anticipation is over, the fans spoke and the winner of the Rock the Mic Contest of 2012 is – drum roll please – RACHEL!

In celebration of the Chiefs 50 years in Kansas City fans were invited to submit a one-minute demo reel of their sideline talents. Hundreds of entries were cut to five finalists who Chiefs fans voted on from August 17th – 23rd.

On August 30th Rachel will have the opportunity of a lifetime to report from the sidelines of Lambeau Field for 65 Toss Power Trap Productions, the in-house production arm of the Kansas City Chiefs. She will become part of the Chiefs live preseason broadcast team alongside Trent Green, Paul Burmeister and Josh Looney.

Rachel is very enthusiastic about football and has learned the rules and strategies from her father, who is a college football official. She is a student at Southwest Baptist University and is studying Social Work, but is also has a passion for the broadcasting world.
