“I want to thank our fans,” Chiefs Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt said. “The patience they’ve demonstrated throughout the process and as an organization, we’re very excited to get back to football with training camp starting and being able to play a complete 2011 season.”

Practice begins Friday at 3:30 PM and is open to the public. Unless otherwise announced, all training camp practices will be open with free admission (please note that MWSU is charging a $5 parking fee this year).

Saturday and Sunday practice sessions are also scheduled for 3:30 PM.

Workouts on Friday and Saturday will be non-padded under rules of the new Collective Bargaining Agreement. The team is eligible to begin holding full-padded practice sessions on Sunday, though Head Coach Todd Haley has yet to confirm the club’s attire for that workout.

A complete practice schedule will be posted on later today.

Training camp is presented by Heartland Health for a second-straight year and will also feature several night practices, a special night for Season Ticket Holders and other family-friendly activities including the Chiefs Kids Zone. A wide variety of official Chiefs merchandise will be available for purchase, in addition to a selection of concession items and refreshments.

The annual Family Fun Day presented by American Family Insurance is scheduled for Saturday, August 6th (Time TBA).
