Name: Thomas “Tom” Baugh

Tom played Center, special teams and long snapped for head coaches John Mackovic and Frank Gansz during the tumultuous late 80’s including the 1987 strike.  He was on the original line that gave Christian Okoye the Nigerian Nightmare nickname. He endured fights and fines from the NFL in the bitter Raider games of the era. Tom received three game balls for special teams play and was inducted into the Southern Illinois University Sports Hall of Fame. He was also named to the S.I.U. All-Century team in 2014. Tom served on the NFL Alumni Board of Directors and is currently Treasurer of the local Kansas City Chapter.

Also, Tom and his wife Jeannie’s daughter Christine graduated from Harvard in 2010 and is active in concussion research at Boston U and is currently in Boston getting her Phd. at Harvard in Public Health Policy. Their youngest daughter, Sarah, graduated from Univ. Missouri Columbia May 2012 accomplishing a BA with 3 minors in 3 years of study. She is currently Executive Business Manager at KC Constructors, Inc.

His hobbies include, woodworking, metalworking, art, fishing, outdoors, business, celebrating with good friends and camaraderie.
