John Dorsey was named the sixth general manager in Kansas City Chiefs history on January 14, 2013. In 2014, Dorsey enters his second season as an NFL general manager and his 24th year as a player personnel member. In his innagural year with the Chiefs, the club held the first overall pick in the 2013 Draft for the first time since 1963, where Dorsey and his staff selected T Eric Fisher. The team finished the 2013 season with an 11-5 record, completing the greatest single-season turnaround in franchise history after posting a 2-14 record the previous year. Dorsey’s first season in Kansas City was capped off by being named the Executive of the Year by the Pro Football Writer’s of America.
