On Thursday, the Kansas City Chiefs and Mano’s Wine announced a partnership that is bringing to market a limited-edition commemorative wine collection for Chiefs fans and wine aficionados alike.
The flagship of the collection is “Handcrafted Reserve,” a California cabernet blend, which comes in a deep-etched and hand-painted bottle, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the club’s victory in Super Bowl IV. In addition, Mano’s Wine is also introducing two different commemorative metallic bottles of “Celebration Bubbly,” a sparkling white wine that also pays homage to the club’s Lombardi Trophy moment following the 1969 season.
In honor of the franchise’s 60th season in 2019, the last bottle in the collection is a 2016 California red blend, “The Red Zone,” that is screen-printed with the club’s special 60th season logo. All wines in the collection are now available online at www.manoswine.com and at retailers throughout Chiefs Kingdom. Customized bottles are also available online.
“This year is special to our organization for a number of reasons, including the 100th season of the NFL, the 60th season in franchise history, and the 50th anniversary of our victory over the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl IV,” Chiefs President Mark Donovan said. “As we were working with Mano’s Wine on this special collection, we knew their connection to Kansas City and Chiefs Kingdom meant that they would deliver a unique way for our organization and our fans to celebrate these special moments and milestones.”
Mano’s Wine is a Kansas City-based winery located in the heart of the Crossroads Arts District. Featuring an esteemed collection of wine makers who carefully select grapes from the best vineyards around the world, everything is shipped to Mano’s national headquarters where they blend, age, finish and handcraft each bottle. This process allows Mano’s to locate premium ingredients from the best climate and growing conditions, ensuring the highest quality wines every year.
“I've been a Chiefs fan my entire life, and the fact that we are a hometown company based in the Crossroads area of KC, myself and the entire company take great pride in being able to represent the Kansas City Chiefs in the wine world. We are excited to bring Chiefs fans like myself and many others amazing wine that they can celebrate with for years to come,” Mano’s Wine CEO Kyle Rensenhouse said.
