Coming to Chiefs vs. Chargers? Here's What to Know

From the bag policy to parking, here’s everything you need to know

The Kansas City Chiefs return to Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday night to take on the Los Angeles Chargers at 7:20 p.m. CT.

Here's everything you need to know if you're coming to the game.

National Anthem: Mike Phillips, world renowned saxophonist, will perform our National Anthem. Phillips is the only musician in the world to have recorded and toured with the "Big Three" of American soul and pop music: Michael Jackson, Prince and Stevie Wonder. Phillips has performed at a number of professional sporting events, including the 2016 NFC Championship Game.

Color Guard: The colors will be presented by the Kansas Native American Veteran Color Guard

Game Ball Presentation: Aiden Burkhart

Blue KC First Pass: John Lair

Drum Ceremony Honoree: Former Chiefs' tight end Tony Gonzalez will be Thursday's Drum Ceremony Honoree

Important Times

2:30 p.m. – Parking Lots Open (Prepay for parking to save at the gate!)

3:00 p.m. – Ford Tailgate District Opens

5:00 p.m. – Scout Investments Club Level Opens (For Club Level Ticketed Guests Only).

5:30 p.m. – All Stadium Gates Open

7:20 p.m. – Kickoff

Parking and Tailgating

Prepay: Fans are encouraged to prepay for parking to save money and time at the gate. Purchasing a pass in advance not only helps save time at the tollgates, but also provides you with the lowest parking price. Click here to purchase your single game parking pass in advance for $35 (Ticketmaster fees apply). On event days, parking is only available for purchase at the gate for $60 cash ($100 for a Bus/RV).

Plan ahead for a heavy rush hour commute: The parking lots open at 2:30 p.m. Guests that arrive later will be parked in the outer lots. All fans are reminded that there will be increased traffic throughout the city for Thursday night's game due to the outbound rush hour commute. Fans may experience delays and traffic congestion that they might not normally experience for weekend contests and should plan accordingly.

Tailgating: Arrowhead Stadium has a rich tailgating tradition. Before arriving, please review the following tailgate policies and the parking code of conduct.

Mobile Ticketing: Don't forget to add your tickets and/or parking pass to your mobile wallet on your phone via the Chiefs Mobile App for expedited entry.

As a reminder, you are unable to print any tickets and/or parking for the game.

What's Going on at Arrowhead?

Chiefs Legends Game: Thursday night marks the club's annual Legends Game presented by Empower Retirement at Arrowhead Stadium. As part of the celebration, Chiefs alumni will be on hand and recognized throughout the course of the game. Select Chiefs legends will be signing autographs in the Hall of Honor inside Arrowhead before the game from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. (Subject to change).

At halftime, 2018 Chiefs Hall of Fame inductee Tony Gonzalez will have his name enshrined in the Ring of Honor. Gonzalez played 17 NFL seasons, including 12 with the Chiefs. During his time in Kansas City, he set franchise records for receptions (916), receiving yards (10,940), receiving touchdowns (76) and 100-yard games (26). For his career, Gonzalez is second all-time in NFL history with 1,325 receptions and ranks second among all NFL tight ends with 111 career touchdowns. Gonzalez is the 48th member and third tight end inducted to the Chiefs Hall of Fame.

50/50 Raffle: The Hunt Family Foundation 50/50 Raffle will benefit Camp Quality Greater Kansas City. Camp Quality is a volunteer-driven, volunteer-run and community-funded non-profit, 501 (c)(3) organization that provides free camping experiences and year-round support programs for children with cancer, and their families. Camp Quality Greater Kansas City's programs are designed to foster life skills and encourage children affected by cancer to develop their full potential, while promoting hope and inspiration for them and their families. Fans can purchase three tickets for $5, 10 tickets for $10 and the "Primetime Special" offer of 100 tickets for $20. Salute to Service Honoree: Specialist Haley McAbee, who is currently stationed at Fort Leavenworth, will be recognized during the first quarter.

Hometown Hero: Officer Bob Cutler of the Platte Woods Police Department will be recognized during the third quarter.

DiPardo Spirit Leader: Logan Neal from Camp Quality will be Thursday's DiPardo Spirit Leader.

Ford Tailgate District

The Ford Tailgate District is open to all fans before home games. This party zone is free to enter and features drink specials, food trucks, games, and live entertainment until kickoff. Be sure to check it out during pregame on the north side of the stadium right in front of the Chiefs Pro Shop.

On Thursday, the first 1,000 visitors to the Ford Tailgate District will receive a Chiefs mitten koozie, courtesy of Bud Light.

NFL Network's "NFL Gameday Kickoff" will be broadcasting live from the Ford Tailgate District prior to Thursday's game from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Hosted by Colleen Wolfe, "NFL Gameday Kickoff" features insights and analysis from former players and coaches previewing Thursday night's game.

Stadium Policies

1. All fans will walk through metal detectors.

2. The Clear Bag Policy is in effect. Fans will be able to carry the following style and size bag, package, or container at stadium plaza areas, stadium gates, or when approaching queue lines of fans awaiting entry into the stadium:

-Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12".

-One-gallon clear zip-seal bag (Ziploc bag or similar).

-Small clutch bags that do not exceed 4.5" x 6.5", with or without a handle or strap, may be carried into the stadium along with one of the clear bag options.

-An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection.

-Backpacks of any kind (including clear plastic) are not permitted.
