Biography

  • Fifth-year safety enters his fifth season with Kansas City in 2018.
  • After only starting in one game from 2014-16, Sorensen stepped into the starting safety position during the 2017 season after S Eric Berry suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in the season opener. Sorensen would go on to start the remaining 14 games he played in and tallied career-highs in tackles (88), sacks (1.5), tackles for loss (5) and quarterback pressures (7).
  • Spent six weeks on the club’s practice squad in 2014.
  • Led the defense with a team- and career-high 88 tackles for the 2017 season.
  • Recorded first career touchdown on a 48-yard interception for return during the Chiefs Week 7 win over the New Orleans Saints (10/23/16).
