  • Eighth-year linebacker enters his eighth season with the Chiefs in 2018.

  • Has appeared in five (four starts) career postseason games, tallying 15 tackles (12 solo), including two for loss, 2.0 sacks (-8.0 yards), six QB pressures, two passes defensed and one fumble recovery.

  • Was voted by teammates as a defensive team captain for the team's 2017 playoff game vs. Pittsburgh and the 2018 playoff game vs. Tennessee.
  • Started all 16 games for the first time in his career in 2012, recording 66 tackles (53 solo), 10.0 sacks (-69.0 yards), one interception for 32 yards, six passes defensed, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and 18 QB pressures.
  • Finished the 2017 season with 9.5 sacks giving him 69.5 career sacks, which ranks fifth in franchise history.
  • His 22.0 sacks (-99.0 yards) in 2014 led the NFL and set a franchise record for single season sacks passing late Pro Football Hall of Famer LB Derrick Thomas’ previous record of 20.0 set back in 1990. He finished just under Michael Strahan’s NFL record of 22.5 set in 2001.
  • Became just the fourth player in franchise history to record at least three seasons with double-digit sack totals (10.0 – 2012, 11.0 – 2013, 22.0 – 2014), joining LB Derrick Thomas (seven seasons), DE Neil Smith (four seasons) and LB Tamba Hali (three seasons).
  • He became the second-fastest player in Chiefs history to reach 30.0 career sacks, passing that plateau with 31.5 sacks in 47 games. Pro Football Hall of Fame LB Derrick Thomas recorded 30.0 sacks in his first 31 games.
  • Set a single-game career-high with 4.5 sacks (-28.0 yards) of QB Michael Vick at Philadelphia (9/19/13), ranking as the third-best single-game performance in franchise history behind a pair of Derrick Thomas performances - 7.0 vs. Seattle (11/11/90) and 6.0 vs. Oakland (9/6/98).
  • His 4.5 sacks at Philadelphia (9/19/13) tie for the NFL single-game high for the 2013 season.
  • Earned his fourth-consecutive trip to the Pro Bowl following the 2015 season.

  • Earned AFC Defensive Player of the Week following performances in Week 1 and Week 3 and was named AFC Defensive Player of the Month for September during the 2013 season compiling 19 tackles, 7.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble as he helped the Chiefs to a 4-0 record in the season’s opening month. He became the first Chiefs linebacker to win AFC Defensive Player of the Month since Pro Football Hall of Fame linebacker Derrick Thomas in 1997.
  • Was named the club’s Mack Lee Hill Award winner following the 2011 season, an honor bestowed on Kansas City’s top rookie or first-year player.
