Career Highlights:

  • In Week 10, Townsend successfully executed a fake punt pass against the Raiders with a 16 yard pass to WR Marcus Kemp on a four-and-seven.
  • Tied a single-game career-high with six punts and set a single-game career-high with 341 punting yards in Week 9 versus Green Bay. He averaged 56.8 gross yards per punt, the third-best single-game mark of his career and registered a career-best 54.3 net punting average. He placed a career-high five of his six punts inside the 20-yard line.
  • Did not punt for the first time in his career against Philadelphia (10/3/21). For the Chiefs, it marks the fourth time in the regular season that the club did not register at least one punt in a contest.
  • With a fake punt pass play versus the New York Jets (11/1/20), Townsend successfully converted a fourth-and-four rifling off a 13-yard pass to Chiefs WR Byron Pringle.
  • In Week 4 versus the New England Patriots, he recorded a punting average of 60.8 yards, setting a new Chiefs single-game franchise record (minimum four punts).
