Chiefs Replay: Wild Card Round vs. Houston

22 years had come and gone between the last time the Kansas City Chiefs won a playoff game and when they drew the Houston Texans in the first round of the 2015 NFL Playoffs.

In a lot of ways, it was a fitting matchup.

The last place the Chiefs had won a playoff game had been in Houston in the Divisional Round during January of 1994, except at that time, the Houston team was the Oilers, and the widely known Texans defensive end, J.J. Watt, was 4 years old.

For whatever reason, however, the game in 2015 had a different vibe leading into it than previous seasons.

After beginning the season at 1-5, the Chiefs entered the game the hottest team in the league with 10 wins in a row.

Now the only thing left to do was to break a streak 22 years in the making.
