The Kansas City Chiefs are hosting the third-annual Chiefs 5K on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 9 a.m. with a portion of the proceeds to benefit a local charity. The event allows more than 3,000 participants to race through the concourses and the Chiefs Hall of Honor presented by Time Warner Cable inside iconic Arrowhead Stadium. In a change from previous year's races, the run will conclude at The University of Kansas Hospital Training Complex, where players practice and prepare throughout the week for games. Participants will receive a one-of-a-kind Chiefs 5K finisher's medal and a commemorative t-shirt.

Registration for the event can be accessed online at www.chiefs5k.com until the day of the event. Season Ticket Members had an exclusive opportunity to sign-up for the race before the general public and will receive a $5 discount on their registration up until race day. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit a local charity. Full registration details are as follows:

  • Early-Bird Registration: $35 – Feb. 5 through Feb. 25
  • Pre-Event Registration: $40 – Feb. 26 through May 22

In its third year, the Chiefs 5K run/walk is the only event that gives fans the opportunity to race through Arrowhead Stadium. More than 7,000 people of all ages have participated in the two previous years.

Runners participate in a 5k run finishing on the 50-yard line in Arrowhead Stadium.
