It's been 32 years since former Kansas City Chiefs running back Joe Delaney died while trying to save three young boys drowning in a pond in Louisiana.

It was 1983 and Delaney couldn't swim, but that didn't stop him from trying to help. He was the AFC Rookie of the Year in 1981 after running for more than 1,100 yards and three touchdowns as the team's second round pick (No. 41 overall) out of Northwestern State.

Below is the Chiefs Kingdom episode on Delaney from the 65 Toss Power Trap Productions Crew, which won an Emmy in the human interest category in 2014, and also a silver world medal at the New York Festivals awards.
