In an effort to continue educating ourselves while working to educate others on the rich traditions of American Indian people and tribes with a historic connection to our region, the Kansas City Chiefs organization introduced an internal speaker series in 2022.
Each year in November - during American Indian Heritage Month - Chiefs staff are invited to hear from a different featured speaker from Indian Country that shares their knowledge and perspective of American Indian history, culture and traditions. Each speaker graciously provides to answer questions from the staff about American Indian cultures and an Indigenous-inspired meal is served for lunch.
