The Chiefs and Kansas City Southern surprised a local mom with gifts, holiday food and paid utilities and groceries for a year this week. The surprise took place at the Guadalupe Center ahead of the Chiefs' trip to Mexico City on Monday.

The Kansas City Chiefs and Ambassadors of Compassion joined forces to help feed the hungry of our community. More than 60 area relief organizations, including food pantries and church ministries, were identified by Harvesters and will benefit as a result of this year's event. Tyson Foods donated in excess of 30,000 pounds of protein product and these local agencies received this much-needed nourishment for the people they serve.
