About the Spring Grant Cycle
Every spring, the Chiefs and the Hunt Family Foundation give grants to various local organizations making Kansas City a better place to live for children and families. Over the next month, we'll share more information about each organization receiving a grant and how you can help support.
2025 Spring Grants

Amethyst Place
Supportive Housing for Women and Children
Addiction affects more than just the body. Amethyst Place builds brighter futures by helping single mothers and their children overcome the vicious cycles of substance abuse by offering long-term supportive housing, educational support, a safe community and more. We're thrilled to support them in their mission to empower generations of women and children to achieve recovery, reunification and resilience!

Child Protection Center
Mental Health Services Program
Abuse and violence steal the joy of childhood, but Child Protection Center is here to change that. On top of identifying, treating and preventing child abuse, they also recognize that wounds aren't always physical. We're supporting their mental health program, which offers counseling, therapy and more free of charge for affected children and teens.

Cornerstones of Care
Safe Home for Stronger Families
Children belong in families. Families belong in strong communities. This belief is why we're giving to Cornerstones of Care as they support children and families, foster care and adoption, and eduction and community training.

Food Equality Initiative
Reducing Nutrition Insecurity for Children
Food Equality Initiative increases access to nourishing food as medicine and provides education to those at the intersection of food insecurity and a diet-treated condition.

Front Porch Alliance
Neighborhood Families: Early Childhood Education
Working together with residents of Kansas City, Missouri's eastside and urban core to meet their changing needs at home and in school, since 1999.

Great Jobs KC, Inc
KC Scholars Support Services
The mission of Great Jobs KC is to provide access to college scholarships and tuition-free job training along with employment assistance to secure family-sustaining jobs for low- to modest-income individuals in the Kansas City Area.

Hispanic Development Fund
HDF Family College Prep Program
We're thrilled to be supporting the mission to improve the quality of life of Latino families in Kansas City with the Hispanic Development Fund. Through the HDF Family College Prep Program, they help students maximize financial aid opportunities, successfully navigate the college process and find the school that's the right fit for them.

Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey
Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey Education Programming
Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey (KCFAA) serves Kansas City in a three-part role as an educator, presenter, and unifier. Through our annual Symposium and other events, we facilitate the dialogue about race, place, and diversity in Kansas City. We are the only presenter of New York's Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Ailey II in Kansas City and are the company's only second home. As an arts educator, our mission is to reach the neediest children in the Kansas City area, both in and out of school, and teach critical life skills through dance.

Our mission is to support the social, emotional and reading skills that are foundational to student success by advancing our literacy platform and mobilizing community volunteers.

Mother's Refuge
Supporting Young Moms and Babies in Crisis
Supporting young mothers and babies is a huge priority of ours, which is why we're so excited to support Mother's Refuge. They shelter and educate homeless, pregnant and parenting young women by providing services that empower them to make successful life decisions for themselves and their babies.

HIKE (Help Instill the Key to Education)
Phoenix Family's HIKE (Help Instill the Key to Education) program improves literacy in Kansas City by providing personalized reading instruction to low-income children. We're proud to support a specific way to set up children for greater success in school and better opportunities in life.

The Children's Place is a safe and welcoming place for children and families to heal from life's deepest hurts. We love supporting the mental health of our community's children, and this specialized treatment center is doing incredible work to help families overcome trauma and find restoration.
