Hill played running back with the Chiefs for just two seasons (1964-65) before tragically dying while undergoing knee surgery . . . Made the Chiefs roster in 1964 as a rookie free agent out of Southern University and wound up as the team's second-leading rusher that season with 567 yards and four touchdowns on 105 carries . . . Played in AFL All-Star game after his rookie campaign . . . Gained 627 yards, second-most on the team, in his second pro season . . . Nicknamed "The Truck" . . . His number 36 is retired . . . Born on August 17, 1940 in Quincy, Florida and died on December 12, 1965 in Kansas City.
