The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Miami Dolphins, 24-10, on Sunday to remain perfect on the season.

Here are some quick notes from the win.

1. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes moved past Joe Montana in terms of career touchdown passes.

Mahomes tallied his 274th career touchdown pass on Sunday, moving him past Joe Montana for 20th on the all-time list. It all helped Mahomes earn his 115th career start (including the playoffs), matching Tom Brady for the most victories through 150 starts in NFL history.

Mahomes also now has 83 career games with multiple touchdown passes, which leads the NFL by eight games since 2018.

2. Kansas City is 3-0 for the fifth time under Mahomes.

Mahomes has now led Kansas City to a perfect record through three weeks for the fifth time in his brilliant career, doing so in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2024 and 2026.

That tally ranks fifth among all quarterbacks in NFL history, trailing only Peyton Manning (7), Tom Brady (6), Dan Marino (6) and Roger Staubach (6).

3. Tailback Ken Walker recorded his third-straight game with 12+ broken tackles.

Walker rushed for 70 yards on 18 carries during Sunday's game while breaking 12 tackles along the way.

The veteran tailback now has an NFL-most 38 forced missed tackles on rushing attempts this year, and here's the most impressive part: Walker has forced at least 12 missed tackles in all three of his games this year while no other player across the NFL has more than 10 forced missed tackles in a single game.

Walker continues to lead the NFL in rushing yards (with 360) while ranking third in scrimmage yards (442) and sixth in scrimmage touchdowns (4) entering Week 4.

Additionally, Walker – who broke free for a 22-yard run on Sunday – has now matched Kansas City's total for 20-yard runs during all of last season in just three games all by himself (with 3).

Only Kareem Hunt (with 401 rushing yards and 538 scrimmage yards in 2017) amassed more rushing and scrimmage yards through Week 3 in franchise history since at least 1970.

4. Tight end Travis Kelce caught his second touchdown pass of the year.

Kelce only caught two passes on Sunday, but he sure made them count.

His first grab – a 48-yard catch-and-run on the first play of the game – set up Kansas City's initial go-ahead score, and his second catch – an 11-yard reception in the back of the end zone – essentially sealed the outcome. The touchdown grab marked the 61st connection between Mahomes and Kelce, which was already the top scoring duo in franchise history.

Kelce now has 14 catches for 231 yards and two touchdowns on the year, ranking second among all tight ends in terms of receiving yards.

5. The Chiefs' play-action passing game was humming once again.

Kansas City's newfound play-action passing game was firing on all cylinders once again on Sunday.

According to Next Gen Stats, Patrick Mahomes completed 11-of-12 passes for 183 yards and a touchdown while using play-action in Sunday's game, averaging 15.3 yards-per-attempt on those throws.

Eight of those 11 completions began with Mahomes under center, which marked the most completions, attempts and passing yards (169) by Mahomes from under center (and when using play-action) during a single game in his career.

The Chiefs, who recorded the fewest passing yards on play-action of any team in the NFL last year (with 396), are already closing in on that number through just three games.

6. Kansas City held Miami to an 0-for-3 mark on fourth down.

The Chiefs logged three fourth-down stops on Sunday, doing so on a 4th-and-4 (in the second quarter), a 4th-and-5 (in the fourth quarter) and a 4th-and-1 (also in the fourth quarter).

It marked the first time that Kansas City faced three or more fourth down attempts and didn't allow a single conversion since the 2019 season (Week 16 at Chicago).

Kansas City has now held opponents to a 2-for-6 mark on fourth down this season.

7. Defensive end George Karlaftis hauled in his first-career interception.

Karlaftis was partially responsible for thwarting one of those aforementioned fourth down attempts when he corralled the first interception of his career late in the game.

Defensive tackle Chris Jones batted the pass at the line of scrimmage before Karlaftis hurried over to make the grab. It was Karlaftis' 18th pass defensed since 2022, which leads all defensive ends.

The Chiefs now have three interceptions this year (recording exactly one in each game) after tallying just 10 picks all of last season

8. Cornerback L'Jarius Sneed tallied a forced fumble and recovery.

Sneed made one of the plays of the day late in the second quarter when he punched the ball loose from quarterback Malik Willis before falling on the fumble to complete the takeaway.

The veteran cornerback is the first member of the Chiefs to force and recover a fumble in a single game since Sneed himself did so in Week 3 of the 2022 season.

9. Cornerback Mansoor Delane logged 72 defensive snaps on Sunday.

Delane, who played just three snaps through the first two weeks of the year due to a shoulder injury, recorded all but one of the Chiefs' defensive snaps on Sunday.

The rookie cornerback tallied a pass-breakup on fourth down early in the game and a terrific tackle-for-loss on a swing pass a little bit later.

10. Linebacker Nick Bolton recorded his 25th career game with 10+ tackles.

Bolton amassed 11 combined tackles on Sunday, notching the 25th game of his career with double-digit tackles. That total matches Derrick Johnson, who also recorded 25 games with 10+ tackles from 2005-17, for the most in franchise history.

Bolton ranks ninth among all players in that category since 2021, and now with a major matchup against the Raiders on deck, he'll aim to turn in another strong performance on Sunday.
