A Collaboration Woven in Tradition: The Kansas City Chiefs and Pancho's Blanket Join Forces

Tlaxcala, Mexico and Kansas City, USA Come Together in Apparel Line Merchandise To Go On Sale Monday, October 12

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Chiefs and local clothing brand Pancho's Blanket have joined forces to produce a limited-edition run of Chiefs-specific apparel.

Made possible through the NFL's local merchandise collaboration initiative, which aims to diversify team product assortments with highly localized offerings, Pancho's Blanket is more than just a merchandise line; it is a mission rooted in culture, tradition, and family.

"Every garment is rooted in centuries-old traditions from Tlaxcala, Mexico, while celebrating one of the greatest organizations in sports," said Jonathan Garvey, co-founder of Pancho's Blanket.

Founded by two brothers raised in Tlaxcala, Jonathan and Joseph are passionate about giving back to the community that built them. Growing up as missionary kids, serving was a significant part of the brothers' lives. Now, with their business in Kansas City, Mo., the pair is excited to team up with the Kansas City Chiefs while honoring their heritage.

"Our goal wasn't to reinvent what makes the Chiefs iconic, it was to honor the legacy, while expressing it through hand-crafted textiles and elevated designs," co-founder Joseph Garvey said.

With a mission of "Keeping Others Warm," all garments are handmade and created on foot pedal looms that are over a century old, passed down through generations of artisans.

But the cultural impact does not stop there. Through Pancho's Blanket, the two brothers started "Feed A Family," an initiative dedicated to combating hunger and food insecurity in Mexico. The program partners with local churches to distribute weekly nutritious meals directly to communities in need, leveraging existing distribution networks and a growing volunteer workforce. More information about Feed A Family can be found at www.feedafamily.info.

This limited run will officially be available for purchase beginning Sunday, Oct. 18, at the Pancho's Blanket storefront, located at The Bauer in downtown Kansas City, online on the Pancho's Blanket official website at www.panchosblanket.com, in-person at the Chiefs Pro Shop at Arrowhead Stadium and online, at shop.chiefs.com, and online through Fanatics at www.fanatics.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs.

Jonathan and Joseph are excited to bring together their roots and the Kansas City community.

"This collection represents more than football, it celebrates craftmanship, culture, and the passion of the Chiefs Kingdom," said Jonathan.

This special collaboration seamlessly weaves the rich textile traditions of Tlaxcala into the red and gold fabric of Kansas City, giving Chiefs fans a powerful new way to represent their team while supporting a life-changing global mission.
