It's Time to Vote, Chiefs Kingdom

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Chiefs announced that Dr. Yvette Richards has been selected as the team's nominee for the 2025 NFL Fan of the Year, presented by Captain Morgan. The honor recognizes extraordinary fans who inspire others through their love of football and unwavering commitment to their community.

A devoted 11-year Season Ticket Member, Dr. Richards has been a fixture in the community as the Director of Community Connection & Mission at St. James United Methodist Church, where she helps lead outreach programs that support Kansas City families. She also serves as the Chapter President of the Greater Kansas City Chapter Societas Docta, Incorporated and was recently honored as the 2025 recipient of The Heart of a Champion Impact Award, celebrating her impact as a school, business, and civic leader. A certified John Maxwell team member in leadership, training, and speaking, Dr. Richards has dedicated her life to service and uplifting others.

The Chiefs celebrated the reveal of Dr. Richards' nomination in a uniquely meaningful way inside her church home, where she was surprised by her choir, congregation, and family – joined by Kansas City's own Tech N9ne – for a special gospel rendition of "Red Kingdom." The heartfelt moment was captured on video and is available across Chiefs social channels. Watch the reveal here.
