Chiefs Lead Titans, 21-3, at Halftime

Kansas City is out in front as the Chiefs and Titans kick off the postseason at Arrowhead

The Kansas City Chiefs are leading the Tennessee Titans, 21-3, at halftime as the two teams kick off the postseason.

Chiefs' quarterback Alex Smith completed 19 of 23 passes for 231 yards and two touchdowns in the half, finding wide receiver Tyreek Hill a team-leading five times for 84 yards.

The duo connected for a 45-yard gain on Kanas City's second possession of the contest, setting up an eventual 1-yard touchdown plunge by tailback Kareem Hunt.

Smith later found tight end Travis Kelce for a 13-yard score as Kansas City leapt out to an early 14-point lead.

The Chiefs' defense did their part to protect the advantage, holding Tennessee to just 127 yards of offense and three points.

Cornerback Marcus Peters was right in the middle of that defensive effort with the second interception of his postseason career. Peters' 21 picks over the past three years are the second-most of any player through their first three seasons, second to only Ed Reed.

Kansas City tacked on another score with just seconds remaining in the half when Smith found Demarcus Robinson for a 14-yard touchdown.
