Chiefs Replay: Week 13 vs. the Oakland Raiders
At the end of the 2015 season, the NFL named Kansas City Chiefs rookie cornerback Marcus Peters its Defensive Rookie of the Year.
Peters, as is widely known among Chiefs fans now, hails from West Oakland and takes much pride in his upbringing.
That's why Week 13, when the Chiefs visited the Raiders, was such an important mark for him on the schedule.
For the first time as a pro, he was going home.
"It's going to be special," he said that week. "It's going to be real special. I get to go display my talents in front of my community, my hometown. From the start, it's been nothing but love and support coming up out of there. All I can do is just go have an excellent game and enjoy it."
