Social Media Seasonal

DEPARTMENT: Content

REPORTS TO: Social Media Manager

TIMELINE: June-Feb

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with content strategy, ideation, and posting across all social platforms
  • Update graphics for use on social media channels
  • Clip and edit short video moments for use across social media platforms
  • Assist with posting content to website and mobile app
  • Help post and optimize videos for YouTube
  • Assist Social/Digital Media team on gameday

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with Adobe Suite
  • Elite knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit


Production Seasonal

DEPARTMENT: Content

REPORTS TO: Director of Live and Gameday Production

TIMELINE: June-Feb

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Shoot player mic'd up wire on gamedays, home and away
  • Shoot gameday highlights and atmosphere using equipment such as Blackmagic Pocket Cinema, Blackmagic Ursa, and Arri Amira
  • Shoot all training camp events, such as practice, autograph sessions, press conferences, and fan events
  • Shoot and live stream all weekly press conferences and ensure their proper distribution and archival
  • Use Adobe Creative Suite to edit in-season social and web videos, such as Tune-In, Sights and Sounds, Bridgestone Clutch Performance, Park University History 101, Training Camp recap videos, Head and Shoulders Locker Room Debate, Miced Up Features, Gameday Travel Highlights, and more
  • Produce/Edit in-stadium video board content, including sponsor content, Ceremony Intros, Defensive Hype Videos, and more
  • Assist in programming in-stadium game stats, fantasy stats and game scores within Daktronics Show Control Suite
  • Use media asset management software (CatDV) to ingest and log gameday and training camp footage, such as Wires, Films Top, Films Ground, Films Ground Boom, Films Beauty, Radio Calls, Amira Highlights, and Network Melts
  • Shoot and set up studio with proper lighting and equipment for studio video shoots, such as podcast recordings and television show feature shoots.
  • Produce and edit podcasts and promotional content for Chiefs Podcast Network
  • Assist in productions of Arrowvision video board shows, Field Pass, and Chiefs Rewind, in positions such as, Clips Operator, Technical Director, Graphics Operator, and Social Media Monitor
  • Work as a replay director and assist in the pre-production for the Chiefs independently produced preseason television broadcasts
  • Edit motivational video for the team and quarterbacks, incorporating feedback and special requests from football coaches

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-2 years video production experience including but not limited to camera operation, editing, writing, control room operation, set lighting, and design.
  • Must be proficient using Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, etc)
  • Technical skills – Experience in Cinema4D, CatDV, and control room equipment, such as Ross Production Switchers, Ross Xpression, and Evertz Dreamcatcher, not required but is a plus
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required, as well as all Chiefs games, home and away


Production-Game Entertainment Seasonal

DEPARTMENT: Content

REPORTS TO: Manager of Game and Event Entertainment

TIMELINE: June-Feb

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with booking Game Entertainment groups for pre-game presentations, in-game honorees, national anthem, color guard, flags, flyovers and halftime
  • Responsible for booking travel as needed and coordinating logistics for entertainment guests on game days
  • Serve as military and first responder liaison for in-game and special event involvement
  • Prepare game-day packets for various entertainment groups (parking, tickets, credentials, etc.)
  • On-field point-of-contact for Manager of Game Entertainment to assist with all on-field presentations and in-stadium promotions
  • Support Manager of Game Entertainment's management of Game Entertainment Field Crew
  • Assist in creating Game Entertainment scripts/timelines for Chiefs Programming, including learning and creating Field Crew Schedule and Video Board PA scripts
  • Responsible for updating documents and information for game days, coordinating with stadium event managers, security and others, as appropriate
  • Assist in helping create ideas for Chiefs in-game entertainment
  • Manage game entertainment ordering, shipments, and deliveries
  • Assist with additional internal projects/events as needed (Kickoff Luncheon, Style Lounge, etc.)
  • Help maintain department props and equipment as it relates to game days and other events
