After setting a new Arrowhead Stadium concert attendance record in July of 2015, country music stadium show superstar Kenny Chesney announced this morning that he will return to the Home of the Chiefs as part of his 2016 "Spread the Love Tour" on Saturday, July 16. Joining Chesney will be female country music recording artist Miranda Lambert, along with Sam Hunt and Old Dominion.

The concert announcement is the first for Arrowhead Events for the 2016 calendar year and it comes on the heels of the most successful special events season in franchise history in 2015. The 2016 concert is the eighth concert date for Arrowhead Stadium since 2011 and the 48th music event (concert or festival) in the stadium's history. It marks Chesney's fifth summer concert in Kansas City during the past six years, making him the artist who has played most frequently at the venue.

"Kenny Chesney is the premier stadium show performer in the country music business, and Kansas City knows how to turn Arrowhead into the biggest party around when he comes to town," Chiefs President Mark Donovan said. "Kenny's concerts, and his fans that attend them, have been instrumental in putting Arrowhead back on the entertainment map, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome him back again in 2016."

Arrowhead Stadium was one of 11 North American stadiums announced for Chesney's tour. Kansas City is the seventh stop of the schedule and the only stop in the six-state region of Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma and Arkansas. The other cities include Phoenix, Arizona; Louisville, Kentucky; Arlington (Dallas), Texas; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Seattle, Washington; Santa Clara (San Francisco), California; Detroit, Michigan; and East Rutherford  (New York City), New Jersey.

Ticket prices and the general public on-sale date for the July 16, 2016 concert will be announced at a  later date. Prior to the general public on-sale, presales will be offered to select groups, including Jackson County taxpayers, Chiefs suite holders, Chiefs corporate partners, Chiefs Season Ticket Members and Chiefs Kingdom Rewards members. All fans wishing to become eligible for a presale opportunity can sign up for Chiefs Kingdom Rewards through the Chiefs Mobile app or at www.ChiefsKingdomRewards.com. Dates and times for all presales will be announced at a later date.

Once on sale, fans can purchase tickets through www.ticketmaster.com, by phone at (800) 745-3000, in person at any Ticketmaster outlet or at the Arrowhead Stadium Ticket Office located between Founder's Plaza and the Hy-Vee Gate on the northwest side of the stadium.
