The Kansas City Chiefs dropped a tough one on Sunday, falling to the Houston Texans for the Chiefs' second loss of the season.
Here are eight quick facts about the game.
1. Patrick Mahomes tossed three touchdowns yet again
Despite the loss, Mahomes still managed to find the end zone three times with his arm. It marked Mahomes' 14th game with three or more touchdowns in just 23 career games. In other terms, Mahomes has thrown 3+ touchdowns in 60 percent of his outings as a professional.
The 24-year-old Mahomes leads the NFL in 3+ touchdown performances since the beginning of last season and is ahead of second-place by four games.
2. Tyreek Hill played well in his return to the field
Hill, who was playing in his first game since Week 1, tallied five catches for 80 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday.
His first score was a leaping, 46-yard grab in coverage that the All-Pro receiver hauled in before falling into the end zone while his second covered six yards on a crucial third down.
The performance was Hill's sixth with multiple receiving touchdowns and his ninth with two or more touchdowns overall.
3. Damien Williams recorded his first receiving touchdown of the season
Williams snagged a 14-yard touchdown near the end of the first quarter to tally his first receiving score of the season, and despite missing two games this year, Williams still leads all running backs with 12 scrimmage touchdowns since Week 13 of 2018 (including the postseason).
4. The Texans had success running the ball on Sunday
A major factor that led to the loss on Sunday was the Texans' ability to run the ball.
As a group, Houston picked up 192 yards on the ground, helping them control the ball offensively for much of the game.
5. Frank Clark forced a fumble on the Texans' first offensive snap
On the Texans' first offensive snap, Clark stripped the ball free from tailback Carlos Hyde and recovered it himself to turn the ball right back over to the Chiefs' offense.
It marked Clark's first forced fumble as a member of the Chiefs and his second takeaway this season.
6. Charvarius Ward and Juan Thornhill each notched an interception
Both players picked big moments to take the ball away, as Ward did so in the end zone on third down and Thornhill tallied his first pick as a professional on a fourth-down heave.
Texans' quarterback Deshaun Watson had thrown just one interception through five games heading into Sunday's matchup – tossing his lone pick all the way back in Week 1 – before the Chiefs took it away twice on Sunday.
7. Dustin Colquitt is timeless
Colquitt, now in his 15th season as a professional, booted a 68-yard punt late in the game to pin the Texans deep in their own territory.
It was Colquitt's longest punt since Week 17 of the 2017 season.
8. The Texans made plays in the end to deal the Chiefs their second loss of the year
The Chiefs put together stretches of success on Sunday, particularly in the first and third quarters, but Watson and the Texans' offense ultimately made plays to win it in the end.
Kansas City won't have much time to think about it, however, as they'll turn the page quickly with a date against the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football looming.
