Sanders' comments: "Man, just the muscles in his arms. He's pounding his chest because he's so excited. When you look at the picture, you can feel it. You can feel that emotion coming out of the picture. You can hear the crowd cheering. You can hear him yelling. You can just feel the adrenaline coursing through his body by the way he looks. He was at the right distance from the camera to get a great look in the background and really just isolate him."

![Steve Sanders' comments: "In this particular photo, I like the way it captures the essence of the moment. This is Peters' first touchdown. We started doing fireworks this year after touchdowns. You've got the fireworks in the background. The rest of the teammates are coming over to congratulate him, and he's just so animated. Just really his emotion of scoring that first touchdown really shows through."](https://static.clubs.nfl.com/image/private/t_new_photo_album/t_lazy/f_auto/chiefs/cedydw0hfx7enok7lomn.jpg)

![Steve Sanders' comments: "It's in a short-yardage situation. We were in the red zone, and it's always a challenge to get the actual catches, especially when the distance is short. This is Harris' first touchdown, so you know you're not always keying in on him in the offense. As he came across the middle, he high-pointed the ball."](https://static.clubs.nfl.com/image/private/t_new_photo_album/t_lazy/f_auto/chiefs/qrw3nlx7cf6nifudynlt.jpg)

It's obviously later in the game when the game was more in hand. His emotion is what I really like about this."](https://static.clubs.nfl.com/image/private/t_new_photo_album/t_lazy/f_auto/chiefs/bk10oamz0zapzqzzc4ap.jpg)

![Steve Sanders' comments: "It's in pre-game. The weather was nasty that day. It was raining, as you can see in the picture. Sometimes in pre-games, I can get the players to be a little bit more animated, a little bit more of their personalities show. And I said, 'DJ, do a little something,' and this is what he came up with. That's kind of his go-to. Looking up into the rain, I think it made a great picture."](https://static.clubs.nfl.com/image/private/t_new_photo_album/t_lazy/f_auto/chiefs/f8rjb6prnipwxca6atae.jpg)

![Steve Sanders' comments: "This photo of the stadium was at our home opener. We knew what was going to happen—we were going to have a fireworks display. I had my photographer Chris Donahue go to the top of the eighth level of the stadium and position himself for the picture. We had a great sky that night from the weather and it all kind of came together there with all of the crowd and the red. It really worked with the fireworks and that timing, the American flag jumping off the field. It's just really powerful."](https://static.clubs.nfl.com/image/private/t_new_photo_album/t_lazy/f_auto/chiefs/ra1kzjizdvqrlqiyk92e.jpg)

![Steve Sanders' comments: "I like Alex's expression. That's what really does it for me—that determination, that feeling of accomplishment. He just got in the end zone. You can see he's cheering. He knew he was going to get into the end zone when he's running. He's hovering over the line and the ball's already crossed the plane. You can tell he's ready to celebrate. This is very unique because Alex always has such a calm demeanor to him, and to show that emotion out of him is pretty unique."](https://static.clubs.nfl.com/image/private/t_new_photo_album/t_lazy/f_auto/chiefs/brjskwkfxcuyrzpkojim.jpg)

![Steve Sanders' comments: "The game was still close prior to this play, and Baltimore had been moving the ball. The running back went into a pile, and everybody stopped. Then all of a sudden you see Branch come around the corner and he has the ball, and he's on the move. He's coming right towards me, and as he goes by, I remembered we had a pretty good amount of Chiefs fans in the stadium that day."](https://static.clubs.nfl.com/image/private/t_new_photo_album/t_lazy/f_auto/chiefs/yifs5p9johtqiqh8wojq.jpg)

![Steve Sanders' Comments: "Jason Avant had a great playoff game, one of the best games I had ever seen him play in his whole career here with the Chiefs. He kind of crossed the middle and Alex Smith led him, and he laid out in this perfect parallel dive. It's one of those pictures that, as a photographer, you always try to get because it's hard to get it—the guy parallel to the ground outstretched and everything sharp."](https://static.clubs.nfl.com/image/private/t_new_photo_album/t_lazy/f_auto/chiefs/thtbvdmoppgjsjxt5t1x.jpg)

![Steve Sanders' comments: "This was Eric Berry's first night back in Arrowhead for a regular season game. We announced 12 players that night and he came out 12th. The crowd was amazing, and there was a textured blue sky with light clouds because we had been fighting the rain all day. He had just passed the Kingdom and got the finger in the air pointing to the sky. Everything kind of came together for that night. You have that mix of sun and clouds and it just it all worked. The grass was really green. The blue, the red and the green—it's all so vibrant.
"I think this is one of the best pictures I've ever taken. It's definitely best picture of the year."](https://static.clubs.nfl.com/image/private/t_new_photo_album/t_lazy/f_auto/chiefs/xjagbgjtnb5uajsmh0vq.jpg)
