Chiefs Annouce Roster Moves to Meet NFL Mandated 53

The Chiefs announced their final round of cut downs

KANSAS CITY, Mo. –The Kansas City Chiefs announced several roster moves on Saturday, including the release of 17 players in order to meet the NFL's mandated 53-man roster limit. Additionally, the team has placed two players on injured reserve and one on the non-football injury list. Below are the roster moves that took place.

"As a collective football operation, coaches and scouts have held numerous discussions on each player during the evaluation process," said Chiefs General Manager John Dorsey. "We had excellent competition at every position and that's a great thing, but today we had to make some difficult decisions to narrow our roster to 53. We appreciate all the time and effort these young men put in for us and wish them all the best."
