Chiefs Camp Injury Update: Travis Kelce Misses Practice Friday

A few players were out Friday morning

Coach Andy Reid gave an injury update to the media after Friday's practice.

"As far as injuries go, cornerback Keith Baxter had wrist surgery and we'll just see how that goes.

"Tight end Travis Kelce had a little bit of swelling on his knee, so we kept him out today. I think he's going to be fine. He's had that where he has had surgery before, and flares up every once and a while.

"Cornerback Terrance Mitchell has a hamstring strain, but it's not bad—it's not a tear. He should be good.

"Cornerback Steven Nelson has been having groin spasms, so we sat him today.

"And then running back Charcandrick West came out and practiced, but his ankle is really sore, so he's working through that.

"Linebacker Josh Mauga's hip flexor tightened up on him, so he worked about three fourths through today."

The Chiefs return to practice Saturday morning at 8:15.
