After the Kansas City Chiefs' first practice of the season on Tuesday, coach Andy Reid gave an update on standout defensive back Eric Berry, who is currently battling Hodgkin's lymphoma.

"He's been through all the treatments," Reid explained. "Now the doctor's going to sit down with him and go over exactly what the results of that are. We don't have that. Eric doesn't have it quite yet.

"Everything up to this point has been very positive from the doctor and from Eric, so I think we're headed in the right direction."

While football is secondary to anything in regards to a player's health, this positive update on Berry was a nice bonus after the Chiefs' first OTA (organized team activity) of the 2015 offseason.

We'll let you know whenever more information on Berry is available.
