Chiefs Injury Update: LB Derrick Johnson Doesn't Practice

An update from training camp on the guys who didn’t practice Monday

Linebacker Derrick Johnson didn't practice on Monday as part of a scheduled day off. Johnson tore his Achilles tendon in Week 14 of last season and returned to the field in Friday's preseason opener, playing 22 snaps.

In addition to Johnson, defensive backs Eric Berry (heel), Terrance Mitchell (hamstring strain) and Steven Nelson (groin strain) and kicker Cairo Santos (groin) were once again absent from practice on Monday.

Berry, who has been sidelined since last Monday with the injury, made the most of the morning by signing autographs throughout practice.

Defensive back Ashton Lampkin, who left practice early on Sunday with an injury, started practice but ended up leaving early with a sore knee and Achilles.

Linebackers Tamba Hali (knee) and Dadi Nicolas (knee) and offensive lineman Parker Ehinger (knee) all remain on the PUP list and did not practice.
