The experts once again have the Kansas City Chiefs (4-2) ranked as one of the top 10 teams in the NFL, as the latest power rankings came out on Tuesday morning.
After defeating the New Orleans Saints (2-4) by a score of 27-21 last Sunday afternoon at Arrowhead Stadium, the Chiefs now rank as one of the nine best teams in the NFL, according to five different major media outlets.
Here's where the Chiefs rank among these different platforms:
NFL.com – No. 9
SB Nation – No. 7
Washington Post – No. 6
Bleacher Report – No. 4
ESPN – No. 9
Here's what NFL.com's Elliot Harrison had to say about the Chiefs in his article:
"Consider *the win Sunday much more in line with what we expected from the Chiefsthis season….Alex Smith, who had been averaging more than 40 pass attempts per game, was closer to his more familiar totals Sunday, throwing 24 high-percentage passes against the Saints. Spencer Ware once again assumed much of Jamaal Charles' workload with 131 scrimmage yards and a tug. Can't wait until Justin Houstoncomes back."*
In looking around the AFC West in Harrison's piece, the Denver Broncos rank No. 5, the Oakland Raiders come in at No. 11 and the San Diego Chargers climbed up seven spots to No. 17 this week.
It's a week that was dominated by the NFC, as the only AFC teams ahead of the Chiefs in the NFL.com rankings are the New England Patriots (No. 1) and Broncos (No. 5).
Looking towards this Sunday, the Chiefs travel to take on the Indianapolis Colts (3-4), who climbed three spots to No. 24 this week after their 34-26 victory over the Tennessee Titans last week.
