Kansas City tallied three interceptions in the first half

The Kansas City Chiefs lead the Los Angeles Chargers, 17-10, at halftime at StubHub Center in Carson, Calif.

The Chiefs tallied three interceptions, two by Terrance Mitchell and another by Marcus Peters, and turned each into points in the first half of action.

Kansas City's three picks are its most since Week 3 of last season and its most in a first half since Nov. 15, 2015.

Quarterback Alex Smith completed six of six passes for 59 yards and two touchdowns, finding wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Albert Wilson for scores.

Rookie running back Kareem Hunt added six rushes for 59 yards on the ground.

Chargers' running back Melvin Gordon was responsible for Los Angeles' lone touchdown, running in from 11-yards out.
