The Kansas City Chiefs have decided to part ways with one of their offensive linemen, releasing Eric Winston, the team announced today.

Winston started 16 games for the Chiefs in 2012, playing 15 of them at right tackle and one contest at right guard.

The Midland, Texas native, who was released by the Houston Texans on March 12, 2012, signed with the Chiefs, one week later.

He has seen action in 108-career games (103 starts) with Houston (2006-11) and Kansas City (2012). He has blocked for three individual 1,000-yard rushers, during his seven seasons in the NFL.

Winston originally entered the league as a third-round draft pick (66th overall) of the Houston Texans in the 2006 NFL Draft.
