Chiefs Sign First-Round Pick Dee Ford

Ford was the team’s first-round, 23rd overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft

KANSAS CITY, Mo. –The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Saturday that the club has signed linebacker Dee Ford. Ford was the team's first-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft (23rd overall). The Chiefs have now signed all six of their draft selections.

Ford (6-2, 252)played rush end and outside linebacker at the Auburn University. He saw action in 52 games (20 starts) recording 93 tackles (59 solo), 20.5 sacks (-163 yards), 27.5 tackles for loss and 40 pressures. He added three forced fumbles, two pass breakups and one interception. Ford was named first-team All-SEC his senior season and recorded 2.0 sacks in the BCS title game vs. Florida State. The Odenville, Alabama native prepped at Clair County High School.
