Series History • Sunday afternoon's matchup will be the 12th time the Kansas City Chiefs have played the Chicago Bears. Since the first game in Week 9 of the 1973 season, the Bears hold a 6-5 advantage.
• It has been more than a decade since the Bears have played at Arrowhead in the regular season. The last meeting was the final week of the 2003 season. Kansas City came out on top that day, 31-3, giving the Chiefs their 13th win of the 2003 season. In that game, Chiefs RB Priest Holmes set a then-single season NFL record with his 27th rushing TD of the season and passed Otis Taylor for most total touchdowns in Chiefs history, with 61.
• The Chiefs won the most recent matchup between the two teams, a Week 13 clash in Chicago in 2011. Kansas City won 10-3 and Chiefs rookie LB Justin Houston recorded the first three sacks and the first forced fumble of his career.
