Defensive Notes:

Veteran linebacker Derrick Johnson didn't miss a single snap for the Chiefs defense as he played all 77 on Sunday against the Texans. In his return to the field after missing all of last year with an Achilles injury, Johnson led the Chiefs with 8 tackles, 2 of which were for loss, a sack and a pass defensed as well.

Safety Eric Berry was on the field for 48 snaps on Sunday, which is the most action he's seen this year, including the preseason games.

Dontari Poe had been dealing with a back issue throughout training camp, but he was able to play 32 snaps for the Chiefs defense on Sunday.

Offensive Notes:

Tight end Demetrius Harris played 32 snaps for the Chiefs offense against the Texans. Harris had been dealing with a foot injury throughout most of the offseason. Five offensive players played every snap (70) for the offense: Ben Grubbs, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, Mitch Morse, Alex Smith and Jah Reid. Left tackle Donald Stephenson (finger) came out for one play as Eric Fisher got one snap at left tackle for the Chiefs offense.
