The accolades just keep rolling in for center Creed Humphrey, and following another stellar campaign, he's once again being recognized in a class above the rest.
Humphrey was announced as a finalist for the inaugural "Protector of the Year Award" on Thursday, which aims to recognize the league's top offensive lineman. The five-year veteran is one of just six finalists, joining Broncos' tackle Garrett Bolles, Dolphins' center Aaron Brewer, Broncos' guard Quinn Meinerz, Lions' tackle Penei Sewell and Bears' guard Joe Thuney.
The finalists, who were chosen by a group of six former All-Pro offensive linemen, were selected based on the following criteria, per the NFL's announcement:
- Quality of competition (quality and consistency of defensive fronts faced)
- Availability to teammates (presence on the field, leadership)
- Durability (ability to meet the physical demands of the season)
- Weekly consistency (sustained performance across the full schedule)
- Video validation (film review confirming execution, technique and situational impact)
- Football analytics (advanced metrics tied to pass protection, run blocking, discipline and team efficiency)
Humphrey certainly checks all of those boxes. In fact, the former second-round pick earned Associated Press First-Team All-Pro honors for the second consecutive season after yielding just eight total pressures in 2025 (on 742 pass-blocking snaps).
The winner of the award will be announced during NFL Honors on Feb. 5.
