Injury Update: Andy Reid Provides an Update on Eric Berry

Berry left the Chiefs season-opening win over New England with an injury on Thursday

Safety Eric Berry left Thursday night's season-opening win over the New England Patriots with an Achilles injury.

Head Coach Andy Reid provided an update on the All-Pro defensive back following the game.

"As far as injuries go, Eric Berry looks like he has an Achilles tendon potential tear," Reid said. "We'll find out more after his MRI and that whole deal."

Berry made seven tackles (4.0 solo), including one tackle-for-loss, before suffering the injury.

The eight-year veteran recorded 77 tackles (62.0 solo), four interceptions and nine passes defensed last season.
