Kansas City Falls to Pittsburgh, 19-13, for First Loss of the Season

The Chiefs had a chance late, but came up just short on Sunday

The Kansas City Chiefs fell to the Pittsburgh Steelers, 19-13, on Sunday afternoon at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Chiefs had a chance late, taking over on offense down six points with just under two minutes remaining. The drive stalled and time ticked away as the Steelers dealed the Kansas City its first loss of the season.

Chiefs' quarterback Alex Smith completed 19 of 34 passes for 246 yards and a touchdown, hitting wide receiver De'Anthony Thomas for a 57-yard score late in the fourth quarter.

Chiefs' rookie running back Kareem Hunt picked up 110 total yards on the afternoon, becoming the only player in NFL history to notch 100-plus yards from scrimmage in each of his first six career games.

Steelers' running back Le'Veon Bell ran for 179 yards and a score in the contest, while quarterback Ben Roethlisberger completed 17 of 25 passes for 252 yards and a touchdown.

The Chiefs will look to get back to their winning ways next week as they travel to Oakland to take on the Raiders on Thursday Night Football.
